Stephen G. McCosker, Deputy Chief of Police – Appointed in 2015. Deputy Chief McCosker joined the central Florida law enforcement community in 1992. Since joining he has earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Columbia College. He continued his education at University of Central Florida and earned a Graduate Certificate in Police Leadership in 2005, attended the 2006 summer study abroad in Russia, and has earned Master Degrees in both Criminal Justice and Public Administration in 2008. Since 2007, Deputy Chief McCosker has served on the Criminal Justice Institute at Valencia Board Advisory Committee as well as the Valencia Criminal Justice Technology Advisory Committee. He is a former college adjunct professor at Valencia College, teaching Criminology 101, and he is currently a defensive tactics and advance course instructor at Osceola County’s Police Academy.
